Khushi Scheme- Odisha 17 Lakh School Girls Free Sanitary Pad Scheme Details

Khushi Scheme has started by Odisha State Government to provide Free Sanitary Pads to 6th to 12th class school girl’s students of government and government aided schools. The initiative objective of to promote health and hygiene Sanitary Pad among the citizens of states. The School Girls Free Sanitary Pad Scheme will cover 17 Lakh school girls. The responsible department for implementing the scheme is health and family welfare. The cost of Khushi Scheme is 70 crore per year.

Odisha School Girls Free Sanitary Pad Scheme

Odisha Khushi Scheme will promote the use of hygiene Sanitary Pad among the new generation of the state. According to the department of health and family welfare only 53 per cent women use unhygienic methods and around 69 per cent women use cloth during menstruation.  Khushi Scheme will definitely spread the awareness about the use of hygiene Sanitary Pad.
