The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh state Mr. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Scheme. Through this scheme, the government will support women of Andhra Pradesh state by distributing them sheeps and goats. There will be distribution of 2.49 lakh sheep & goats units to the women of Andhra Pradesh state. The Andhra Pradesh government will spend Rs.1868 crores on this scheme. This scheme is launched to provide support to women & make their livelihood better. With the help of this scheme, the Andhra Pradesh government wants women of Andhra Pradesh state to become financialy independent. Many women in the state are not able to have a business opportunity but this scheme is a very good business option for them.
The government will distribute the sheeps, goats, buffaloes etc in 3 phases. In Phase 1, only 20,000 animals will be distributed. Then in Phase 2, total 1 lakh 30 thousand animals will be distributed and in the last phase, around 1 lakh animals will be distributed.

The objective of Andhra Pradesh government to launch this scheme is to make the livelihood of women better in Andhra Pradesh state. This scheme is a great business opportunity for the women. Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Scheme Eligibility Criteria
- The women applicant who is applying must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh state.
- Applicant must have a domicile of Andhra Pradesh state.
- The candidate who is applying must be a woman.
- Minimum age of candidate to apply is 45 years.
- Maximum age of candidate to apply is 60 years.
- The women should belong to SC (Scheduled Caste), ST (Scheduled Tribe), BC (Backward Classes) or Minority community.
