The Chief Minister of Odisha state Mr. Naveen Patnaik has released Odisha Motor Vehicle Welfare Scheme. Under this scheme, the Odisha government will provide an ex-gratia payment of Rs.80 thousand to Rs.4 lakh in the case of accident. The support will be given to the families of victim who got injured or expired in the accident while working. This scheme is especially launched to support the families of victim.
