Announcement by Gujarat CM
On Wednesday, 25th March 2020 Chief Minister Mr Vijay Rupani has announced Free Ration Scheme after a meeting in Gandhinagar. He said the government is concerned about the poor people of the state who earn daily to complete their basic needs so we will provide free ration to the 60 lakh poor families of the state to face the hurdle during the lockdown situation. Our government will take the necessary decisions to support them and face the situation of COVID-19. He further added that people should stay at home to be safe from this deadly virus and support the government.
Benefits Of Free Ration Scheme Gujarat
All the people of the Gujarat State who have BPL Ration card will get the benefits of this scheme. This scheme will help approximate 60 lakh people of the state. Beneficiaries will get food items, including 3.5 kg wheat and 1.5 kg rice per person plus 1 kg pulses, sugar and salt per family without paying any cost. This scheme will be implemented in the state with the effect of April 1st, 2020.
