PMEGP Prime Minister Employment Generation Program has been started by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Industry (MSMEs) in the year of 2008. Under the PMEGP Nationalized Banks Provide term loan and working capital to entrepreneurs for starting new projects. Central Government of India has started Prime Minister Employment Generation Program by merging two existing Scheme i.e. Prime Minister Rojgar Yojana (PMRY) and Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP).

For successful implementation of PM Employment Generation Program, At the National Level Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) works as a nodal agency and at the state level State KVIC Directorates, State Khadi and Village Industries Boards (KVIBs), District Industries Centres (DICs) works as a nodal agency.

Functions of PMEGP Scheme

Under this Scheme Government Provide Loan up to 90% of Project cost. These loans are sanctioned by nationalized banks. These loans are provided by banks in the form of term loan and working capital at the subsidized interest rates prescribed by the Central Government.

Benefits of PMEGP Scheme

  • This scheme will provide more options for self-employment.
  • The loans under the Scheme are provided on subsidized interest rates.
  • Banks will sanction 90% of project cost for General category candidates and in the case of Special Category Candidates, the bank will allow 95%.

Interest Rates And Repayment Schedule Under PMEGP

  • For the sanctioned amount Bank will charge normal rates of interest.
  • The repayment under the PMEGP may be range between 3 to 7 years.
  • Bank will finance Capital Expenditure in the form of term loan and working capital

PMEGP e-Portal Online Application Form (Registration)

  • The entrepreneurs who wish to apply PMEGP Firstly they have to visit at the official website.
  • Now at PMEGP e-Portal, you will get two option first Online Application form for Individual and second Online Application Form for Non-Individual.

Online Application Form for Individual

  • If you want to run your business individually then you have to register as an individual person
  • First of all click on the “Online Application form for Individual” Option.
  • Now when you click on this option a new tab will open with Application Form.
  • Under this PMEGP Application form for Individual you have to mention all the required details such as Aadhaar No, Name of Applicant, sponsoring agency, Address, Personal Details, Contact Information and Bank account details, etc. as shown in the figure.

  • After entering all necessary information in the appropriate field Click On “Save Applicant Data” button to Save the Details.
  • Now, After “Save Applicant Data”, you need to upload documents for final submission of application.
  • After Final Submission of Application, Applicant ID and password will be sent to your registered Mobile No.

Application Form For Non-Individual

  • Under this section, you will get PMGEP Application Form of Non-Individual Persons.
  • When you click on “Online Application form for Non-Individual” Option then there will new tab will open with four new options such as Self Help Groups (SHGs), Trust, Registered Institutions and  Co-operative Society.

  • Now click on appropriate options as per your requirement and fill the application form
  • Now, After “Save Applicant Data”, you need to upload documents for final submission of application.
  • After Final Submission of Application, Applicant ID and password will be sent to your registered Mobile No.

  • After successful submission of Prime Minister Employment Generation Program Application Form, you will get Applicant ID and password on your registered Mobile Number or Email ID.
  • Now click on the PMEGP Login Section and enter your applicant ID and Password.
