- The applicant who is applying must be an Indian citizen.
- The applicant must be a permanent resident or domicile of Karnataka.
- The family annual income of the child must be less than Rs.3.5 lakhs.
- Priority will be given to the students who are Orphans, HIV Infected, Child with special needs, Migrant, Street Child etc.
- The child class and date of birth should be –
- LKG Class : August 1, 2017 until August 1, 2018. (Age should be 3 years 5 months to 5 years).
- 1st Class : August 1, 2015 to August 1, 2016. (Age should be 5 years 5 months to 7 years).

- LKG Class : August 1, 2017 until August 1, 2018. (Age should be 3 years 5 months to 5 years).

- Firstly, the candidate has to visit the Official Website of RTE Admission that is https://www.schooleducation.kar.nic.in/pryedn/rtearchives1516.html
- On homepage, click on ‘RTE Admission notification’.
- After clicking, a new page will appear on your screen, Check the eligibility. After ensuring proper eligibility click on ‘Apply Online’.
- After clicking on that link, a new page will appear with an application form.
- Fill the application form with required details such as name, Father’s name, age, school, Date of Birth etc.
- Upload the necessary documents such as photograph, computer authorized signature.
- Now, click on ‘Submit’ option.
- Download & take a printout of the confirmation page for further use.
