Republic day is not just an Indian festival to celebrate it has great importance in the country. Republic day is the day when the Constitution of India came into effect on 26th January 1950 by replacing the old Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India. From that day India celebrates 26th January as republic day as to mark its prominence.

History of Republic Day
After the country gets independence from the British rule on 15th August 1947 but the country didn’t have a permanent constitution. The laws were based on modified Government of India Act 1935. On 29th August 1947, a resolution was passed to appoint a drafting committee to draft a permanent constitution for the country. Dr B.R. Ambedkar was the chairman of this drafting committee. The committee submits the drafting constitution on 4th November 1947 to the constituent Assembly. On 26th November 1949, the constitution was adopted by the Indian constituent Assembly. After making deliberations and some modifications two handwritten copies one in English and other in Hindi was signed by the 308 members on 24th January 1950 and came into effect on 26th January 1950.

Good morning everyone,
Firstly I would like to welcome our Honorable Chief Guest______ Principal ma’am and my dear friends. I would like to tell you about today’s special occasion, here we all together to celebrate Republic day. It is the 74th republic day of our nation.
Many of us don’t know about the importance of the day for our country, today I am going to tell you why this day is so important for our nation. On this day our republic constitution came into effect.
We all know our country get its independence from British rule on 15th of August, 1947. After getting independence, it important for our nation to have a permanent constitution, from that day around two and half years was taken to prepare and execute the independent permanent Indian constitution by the Indian constituent Assembly. After making modifications on 26th January 1950 our constitution came into effect. From that day we are celebrating this day as Republic day.
On this special occasion, we must remember the sacrifices of all those freedom fighters who scarify their lives for our well- being. Thank you all for giving me this opportunity to come in front of you on this special occasion and express my views.

माननिये अतिथि, प्रिंसिपल महोदय और मेरे प्यारे दोस्तों, मैं आज के इस शुभ अवसर पर आप सभी का स्वागत करती/ करता हु। आज हम सभी यहाँ भारत का 74व गणतंत्र दिवस के इस पवन अवसर पर एकत्रित हुए है। ये मेरा सौभाग्य है के मुझे आज के इस अवसर पर अपने विचार प्रकायत करने का मौका मिला है। आज का ये दिन सभी भारत वासियो के लिए बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण है, आज के दिन भारत का सविधान लागु हुआ था।
हम सभी जानते है के पहले हमारा देश अंग्रेजो का गुलाम था। जिससे हमे आजादी १५ अगस्त १९४७ को मिली थी। उस दिन के बाद से भारत में कोई सविधान नहीं था। ढाई साल बाद २६ जनवरी १९५० को भारत का अपना सविधान लागू हुआ। जिसके बाद बहरत वासियो को अंग्रेजो के बने कानून और नियमो से भी आजादी मिल गयी। अब भारत देश के पास अपना सविधान है।
हम सब आज का ये दिन उन सभी महा पुरुषो के वजह से मना पा रहे है जिन्होंने देश की आजादी के लिए अपने प्राणो का बलिदान दिया। अपनी वाणी को विराम देते हुए अंत में मैं बस इतना ही कहना चाहुगा/ चाहुगी के मुझे गर्व है के मई ऐसे देश की/ का वासी हु जहा महात्मा गाँधी और भगत सींग जैसे महापुरुषों ने जनम लिया और इस देश को आजादी दिलाने के लिए अपने प्राणो का बलिदान दिया।

Good morning, Honorable Chief Guest______ Principal ma’am and my dear students, first of all I would like to wish you all a very happy republic day. Today I would like to welcome you all on the celebration of 74th republic day of our nation.
You all know our nation get independence from the British rule on 15th August 1947 that was a new beginning for our country. To make a fresh start our country needs to make its own rules and regulations. For that purpose, it has been decided by the constituent assembly to draft own constitution. Drafting committee starts drafting the constitution and on 26th January 1950, our constitution came into effect.
When our nation gets independence at that time many of the neighbouring countries are against democracy in India. They said India was ruled by others in accent time Monarchy, after that by Sultans and Mughals in the medieval period and thereafter by British rulers. So it is not possible to make India a democratic nation.
At the time of independence, our nation was facing many issues first and foremost is the division of the country. Now only this Starvation, poverty, agriculture and industry all are in poor condition. But today our nation is one of the foremost countries of the world that are growing faster. This independence day I would like to encourage you all the students to be a part for developing our country.
In the end, I would like to say that students by getting good values, education and technical advance knowledge give your contribution too. Once again a very happy republic day.

नमस्कार,
सर्वप्रथम आप सभी को गणतंत्र दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाए। गण का अर्थ होता है जनता और गणराज्य का अर्थ होता है जनता के द्वारा चुना हुआ शासन, जिसका अध्यक्ष जनता द्वारा चुना जाता है।
१५ अगस्त १९४७ को जब भारत आजाद हुआ, तो ये भारत के लिए एक नया सवेरा था, नयी आशा थी, और इस नए सवेरे व् आशा को बरक़रार रखने के लिए सविधान निर्माताओं ने सविधान बनाया। जो २६ जनवरी १९५० को भारत में लागु किआ गया। उस समय हमने प्रथम गणतंत्र दिवस मनाया जो हमारे देश के लिए अंग्रेजी कानून से भी आजादी थी। आज हम ७१वा गणतंत्र दिवस मना रहे है।
जब हमारा देश आजाद हुआ तब अन्य देशो ने यह कहना शुरू किया की जो देश प्राचीनकाल में राज तंत्र, मध्यकाल में सुल्तानों और मुगलो के द्वारा और आधुनिककाल में अंग्रेजो द्वारा शाषित हुआ है वह लोकतंत्र के काबिल नहीं है। भारत में लोकतंत्र विफल हो जाए यह बिलकुल वैसी ही बात थी जैसे की अगर कोई घर बनाने जाए और जो लोग झोपड़ियों में रहते है वो आपको इंजीनियरिंग का ज्ञान दे।
जब भारत आजाद हुआ था तब आजादी के साथ आया विभाजन का दुःख, भुखमरी, गरीबी, कृषि, उद्योग, सभी का अस्थाईत्व था। लेकिन इन तमाम अमंगलो को दूर करते हुए आज हमारा देश मंगल ग्रह व चाँद पर पहुचने वाले उन चुनिंदा राष्ट्रों में से एक हो गया है।
एशिया में भारत दूसरी महाशक्ति और विश्व में अग्रणीय पांच महाशक्तियों में एक हो गया है। बच्चो कोई भी राष्ट्र स्वयं में महान नई होता, उसे महान बनाते है उसके नागरिक, महान बनती है नागरिको की कर्त्तव्य निष्ठां, सत्य निष्ठां, नैतिकता और उनकी कुशलता। महानता आसमान से नहीं उपजती, मेहनत से आती है।
अपनी वाणी को विराम देते हुए अंत में मैं बस इतना ही कहना चाहुगा/ चाहुगी की आज २६ जनवरी आपको मौका देता है जब आप आत्मविश्लेषण करे की आपने पिछले वर्षो में क्या किया है और किस प्रकार आप भारत की तैराकी में अपना अमूल्य योगदान दे सकते है। एक बार फिर से आप सभी को गणतंत्र दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाए
