The scheme has been launched by the Chief Minister of West Bengal State for the unemployed youth of the state. Under this Yojana, around 2 lakh motorcycles will be provided to the unemployed youth of the state to help them in starting their own startups. The Yojana has been started on public demand as many grievances were ok submitted at the block level related to the problems of the bike in the economically weaker class of the state. So, addressing these problems, the government of West Bengal has decided to start this scheme. Scheme Objective
The scheme has been launched by keeping in mind the decreasing employment statistics in the state. Through this scheme, the government of West Bengal aims to provide employment opportunities to the young people of the state. The youth of the state can now start their own employment as from now onwards they will not be having any obstruction of vehicle. Average class people find it very difficult to afford a bike while starting new employment, although the bike will help very much in his work. So the government has decided to provide free bikes to them. This bike will also carry a box at the backside that will help in carrying certain items from one place to another easily.
