Karma Sathi Prakalpa Scheme 2021
Recently on World Youth Day 12 August 2020, a new scheme called Karma Sathi Prakalpa Scheme has been launched by the state government of West Bengal for the youth of the state. The Chief Minister of the state took to Twitter to announce the scheme and details of the scheme. The Chief Minister announced that the government will provide soft loans and other subsidies to nearly 1 lac unemployed youth of the state that will help in increasing employment opportunities for the unemployed youth of the state. Under this scheme, benefits will be provided to the Unemployed People of the state. She has also shared that the overall unemployment rate in the country was the highest of all time i.e. 24% when the unemployment rate in the state was reduced to 40%.

Objective of Karma Sathi Prakalpa Scheme
Among the many objectives of the scheme, one of the main objectives is to reduce the unemployment rate in the state and overall in the country. The scheme aims to provide soft loans and other subsidies to the unemployed youth that will create more employment opportunities in the state. A targeted count of 1 lac people of the state will be employed under this scheme. This will help in providing daily bread to the unemployed easily. The scheme aims for the development of the unemployed and ultimately the development of the country.
Scheme Incentives
Under the proposed scheme, an amount of nearly 2 lac will be provided to the needy ones of the state on an annual basis. The selection of almost 1 lav beneficiaries will be done by the concerned authority. As announced by the Chief Minister a budget of Rs 5000 crores has been sanctioned by the West Bengal government for the implementation of this scheme.
Karma Sathi Prakalpa Scheme Eligibility Criteria

- The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal State.
- The candidate must an unemployed candidate.
