The state government of Rajasthan has announced Jan Aadhar Card Yojana which is about to launch in Kuchaman City. This new Jan Aadhar Card Yojana will replace the old government’s flagship scheme Bhamashah Card. The government is going to issue Jan Aadhar Card in place of Bhamashah Card. Jan Aadhar Card Yojana is a scheme of congress government which is going to replace the previous government (BJP) flagship scheme Bhamashah Card. Bhamashah cards of families were created and all personal benefit schemes of social security were added to this card. Health insurance was also linked to this card. At present, cards of 1.74 crore families are made under this scheme and the benefit of 56 schemes of the government is being given through this card. This scheme has some basic and most innovative features such as e-bazar, e-commerce, financial inclusion, institutional finance,insurances and women empowerment.

Features of Scheme

 The card is issued in the name of the woman of the family as the head and the names of all the family members are attached to it. But now the current government of the state has decided to replace the Bhamashah cards with Jan Aadhar Card with almost same benefits and addition or subtraction in it. Chief Secretary DB Gupta has already issued a circular for the implementation of the Mukhyamantri Jan Aadhaar Card Yojana.

Implementation of Jan Aadhar Card Yojana

Under the proposal prepared by the government, a database of information is prepared and each family is to be given a number, a card, an identity. In this, the identity and address of family and members will be recognized as a document. On the other hand, cash benefits will be available only on direct benefit transfer and non-cash benefits certified by Aadhaar and Jan Aadhaar.

Benefits of the Scheme

Apart from this, the benefits of state government schemes, e-commerce and insurance facilities will also be available through the new card. After enrollment, each family will be provided a Jan Aadhaar card with a 10-digit family identification number. In this too, the head of the family will keeep the same woman as the previous Bhamashah card.

Registration Process Of Jan Aadhar Card Yojana

Pre-registered families need not to register again. A 10 digit Jan Aadhaar Family Identification Number will be sent to them on SMS or voice call under the new scheme on their registered mobile. After this, the card will be distributed free of cost through Municipal Body, Panchayat Raj and E-Mitra.  The Citizens who has not registered under the Jan Aadhaar Card Scheme have to follow the below procedure;-

Procedure to Check Jan Aadhaar Nearest Enrollment Centre

  • Open the official website.
  • Click the “nearest enrollment centre” link from the menu bar
  • A new page appears on the screen select your district
  • Then your address type
  • Now choose your municipality & ward
  • Select the option search by “pin code” or “address”
  • Enter the detail  and click search
  • Nearest e-Mitra name along with address appears on the screen.
  • Visit there for enrollment
