Soura Jalanidhi Scheme has been launched by Odisha CM Mr Naveen Patnaik on 6th November 2018. The farmers of the state who want to avail the benefits of 90 per cent solar irrigation pump subsidy scheme fill the Online Application form. In Soura Jalanidhi Project Odisha Government is promoting the uses of solar energy in irrigation by farmers. Under Soura Jalanidhi Scheme Govt. will distribute 5000 solar pumps. The Odisha Jalanidhi Scheme will be implemented in a phase-wise manner. In the first phase of implementation of the scheme, the reserved areas of the state will be covered.

Soura Jalanidhi Project
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the Soura Jalanidhi Project for the farmers of the State. This Soura Jalanidhi Scheme has launched to encourage the uses of solar power like solar energy to irrigate their field by the farmer. Under this Soura Jalanidhi Yojana, Odisha Government will provide the subsidy to the farmers of the state.
Benefits of Odisha Soura Jalanidhi
- It will help to reduce the burden of input cost on farmers.
- It will promote the use of green energy and reduce pollution.
- Soura Jalanidhi Project increase agricultural income.
- It will save electricity consumption in the State.
- This scheme will generate 1.52 lakh human day employments annually and provided livelihood to around 5,000 families
Key Features Soura Jalanidhi
- Under this scheme, farmers will be given 90% subsidy and 5,000 solar photovoltaic pump
- it will provide irrigation benefits in 2,500 acres of the state.
Eligibility for Jalanidhi Scheme
- The Farmer or beneficiary of the Scheme will be who have valid farmer identity cards and have minimum of 0.5 acres of agricultural land for the financial year 2018-19 in the Odisha State.
- Applicant must agree for maintenance, upkeep & safe custody of the Solar photovoltaic pump.

- Citizen of the state who wants to apply for the scheme, firstly visit at the official website.
- Now on the Homepage of the official website, you will get the “Apply Online” Option.
- When you click on the option a new window will open.
- Now Click on the Proceed button and registered as a New user
- After successful registration go to the log in option and log in as a user
- After that fill the Odisha Soura Jalanidhi Scheme Application form and click on the submit button.
Check List Before Applying
- The applicant must have Dugwell/ Farmpond present.
- The applicant must have a minimum cultivable land 0.5 Acre.
