The Government of Odisha state has launched a scholarship scheme for the citizens of Odisha. Scholarship Objective
The scholarship program has been started for the economically weaker category of the state. Students belonging to these categories can now continue their education in the best and topmost schools and colleges of the state. The objective of the scholarship is to provide opportunities to the lower section of the state so that they can compete with the other communities’ students. This will also help in reducing the burden of the parents of these community students.
Group Categorization by Authority
The concerned authorities of the scholarship programs have categorized the students of these communities on the basis of their education and these educational groups are as follows:

Odisha Prerana Scholarship Amount
Financial assistance to the various groups of students is provided by the government of Odisha through different procedures such as fee reimbursement, monthly maintenance amount. A hundred percent course fee reimbursement is provided to the students studying in general courses. Rs.28500/- fee reimbursement will be provided to the students studying in technical courses. The amount of scholarship for various courses is as follows:

Odisha Prerana Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Odisha state.
- He must belong to the backward category.
- SC/ST student’s family income must be less than Rs 2,50,000.
- OBC/SEBC student’s family income must be less than Rs 1,50,000.
- EBC student’s family income must be less than Rs 1,00,000.
