Ama Ghare LED Scheme has been announced by the odisha chief minister Mr. Naveen Patnaik on 12th January 2019. In Odisha Free LED Bulb government will distribute 4 LED Bulb of 9 watt under the PEETHA Scheme camp from month of January 2019. Odisha Ama Ghare LED Scheme will cover the beneficiary of the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and State Food Security Scheme (SFSS). The objective of the scheme is to reduce the electricity bills burden from the poor households.

Under the Odisha LED distribution scheme government is planning to distribute approx. 3.80 core Free LED bulbs. The beneficiary under the Ama Ghare LED scheme is 95 lakh. In the budget of year 2018-19 government of odisha was approved the budget of Rs.125 Crore. The motive of the government of launching Ama Ghare yojana is to reduce the electricity bills as well as reduce the burden of electricity bills from the poor family.

The odisha state Ama Ghare Scheme will be implemented by the odisha power transmission corporation ltd. The beneficiary under the LED distribution scheme is 87 lakh NFSA and 8 lakh SFSS total 95 lakhs. The government have spent total Rs 125 crore to implement the Odisha Ama Ghare scheme in all over the state.
