Maharashtra Prajwala Yojana has been announced in the recent State Budget of Maharashtra. To Implement Maharashtra Prajwala Yojana state government has considered Maharashtra Women Commission as a nodal agency. Under this scheme Nodal agency will awareness among women members of self-help groups regarding legal matters, social and financial knowledge. This effort will obviously empower the self-help groups (SHGs) of the state because with the adequate knowledge of Legal Matter, rules and regulation these groups may go forward.

Women Awareness Scheme
State government will implement Maharashtra Prajwala Yojana through organizing camps, awareness campaign in various places. In the Maharashtra Budget state Government has allocated Rs 2500 crore for Two women empowerment scheme i.e. Prajwala Yojana and Navtejaswinin Yojana. The State Government wants to decrease the poverty among women, households and self-help groups (SHGs).
Objective of Prajwala Yojana
Government wants to empower the women of the state and will provide them a number of opportunities to development and improve their living standards of SHGs. These efforts will help in decreasing the poverty of women entrepreneurs.

About Navtejaswinin Yojana
Maharshtra Govt. also introduced another scheme under the Maharashtra Budget 2022 which is known as Navtejaswinin Yojana. Under this scheme Government will provide the opportunity to improve the standard of life of women and their entrepreneurship skills. Under this program a number of skill training programs and startups will be organized by government.
