The name of the initiative is “Kerala Vidyajyothi Scheme 2020”. Recently the Social Justice Department conducted a state wise survey for physically handicapped/ differently abled people with the help of Kerala Social Security Mission. As per this survey there are 7,79,793 people out of which 1,30,799 persons are below 18 years of age. To uplift the education of physically handicapped/ differently abled students of the state the department has started Vidyajyothi Scheme. Under this scheme the government will provide financial help to buy uniforms and study materials to the beneficiaries of the scheme.

Kerala Vidyajyothi Scheme 2020 Eligibility

  • Candidate should belong to Kerala state and must be studying in Government / Aided Institution.
  • Applicant must be a physically handicapped (PH) student with 40% or more disability
  • BPL candidates will get preference under this scheme

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Blindness
  • Cerebral Palsy
