What Is Ration Card?

Types of Ration Cards
- Antyodaya Anna Yojana Ration Card– This ration card is of Yellow color and given to the most economic section of the society. With the help of this ration card, beneficiaries can get 35 kg of Food Grains completely free of cost. This 35 kg of food grain includes wheat and Rice
- Priority Ration Card– This ration card is of Pink color and given to the people living below the poverty line. With the help of this ration card, each member of the applicant’s family can get 5 kilograms of grains free of cost. 5 kilogram of grains includes 4 kg rice and 1 kg wheat.
- Non- Priority Subsidy Ration Card– This ration card is of blue color and given to the people living above the poverty line. With the help of this ration card, 2 kilograms of rice is provided at the cost of Rs 2/kg to each member of the applicant’s family.

- Ward Councillor Certificate in the prescribed format.
- Date of the birth proof – A birth certificate or SSLC book can be submitted
- One Identity proof like Adhaar card, Voter ID, PAN Card, or passport

Kerala Ration Card Application Process
Applicants of the Kerala Ration Card can apply using offline or online mode. If the applicant is not having access to the internet he can choose the offline mode by visiting Akshaya Centre and TSO or DSO offices otherwise they can opt for online mode by visiting the official website of the civil service department. Offline Application via Akshaya Center
- Visit the Akshaya center located nearest to you.
- Take the Application form from the Akshaya Center, fill it and submit it along with the required documents
- If the applicant already has an old Kerala ration card, then that needs to be submitted along with the application form.
- The documents and application form will be thoroughly checked by the authorities present at the Akshaya center and a digital photograph of the applicant will be taken.
- The applicant needs to pay the Application Fee for the ration card along with any other charges applicable.
Offline Application via TSO or DSO centre
- Visit the nearest office of TSO or DSO in the area.
- The applicant needs to apply for the new ration card by paying the application fee to the officer at the office
- The application form must be filled carefully by the applicant and be submitted to the officer with a copy of the required documents.
- Once the documents are verified, the ration card will be sent to the official address of the applicant within 15 days

- Click on submit
- Click on the activation link sent to you.
- Login to the website using a login ID and password.
