E-Grantz Scholarship

E-Grantz is the online centralised system for the distribution of Scholarships and other Schemes for all Pre-matric and Post-matric Students of SC, ST, and OBC communities residing within the State of Kerala. Students who are belonging to the backward section can apply for this scheme. E-grantz scholarship is launched with the vision of providing quality education to the economically weaker section of the society. Bright students who are not able to pursue higher studies because of lack of money will be benefited from this scheme. This scholarship program will provide better educational infrastructure in the state of Kerala which would result in better economic conditions for the residents of Kerala.

Objective of E-Grantz Scholarship

The main objective of the E-Grant scholarship is to provide financial support to the economically backward students of SC ST and OBC Castes. This scholarship program will help poor students to get higher education without fearing educational expenses. Higher education among the economically weaker section of society will lead to better economic conditions and a rise in employment. This scholarship program is online-based; students can apply online for the scholarship from the comfort of their home. The online application system will save lots of time and bring transparency to the system.

E-Grantz Scholarship Key Benefits

Students from SC, ST, OBC and OEC castes will be beneficial from this Yojana. Here are the key benefits of this scheme.

Benefits for SC/ OEC Students

Travel allowance of Rs 630 will be provided to the students studying in colleges which are less than 8 km from their residence.
Travel allowance of Rs 750 will be provided to the students whose colleges are above 8kms from their residence.
Rent allowance of Rs 1500 will be provided to the students who are pursuing professional courses and reside on their own due to lack of hostel facilities.

Benefits for OBC Students

The scholarship amount of Rs160 will be provided to students who are pursuing 10+2 courses.
Day scholars who are pursuing PG and Professional Courses will be provided with Rs 200 and hostellers can get Rs 250.
Day scholars who are pursuing Polytechnic courses will be provided with Rs 100 and can hostellers get Rs 150.

Eligibility Criteria

Here we are discussing the eligibility criteria for the successful application of the E-Grant scholarship program

Applicant must be a citizen of India
Applicant must be a permanent resident of Kerala
The student must have secured at least 75% attendance
The student should be enrolled in post matriculation course program
The students studying at the post-matriculation level of studies from a recognized university/board are eligible to apply.
Students must have taken admission from merit or reservation quota.
Applicant must belong to Scheduled Caste (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBCs), other eligible communities (OECs), and other socially/economically backward communities.
For students belonging to the OBC category – The income limit is INR 1 Lakh per annum for +2 course, Degree, PG, and Professional courses.
For students belonging to other categories – The income limit is INR 1 Lakh for +2 course, Degree, PG, and Professional courses.
For students belonging to SC and OECs, there is no income limitation.
The student must be pursuing a Degree, Diploma, Doctoral, Higher Secondary, Polytechnic, Post Graduate, Professional, and VHSE courses.

Application process for E-Grantz scholarship

Students need to apply online for this scholarship program. Here we are providing complete application process in step by step procedure.

Firstly visit the Official website of the scholarship portal

The homepage will appear on your screen, on this homepage click on the one-time registration option.

The instructions will appear on your screen
Now enter your Aadhaar card number and your name as per the Aadhar card
Now click on the option called Validate Aadhaar to continue for the registration
Now enter your mobile number and other personal details
Click on the Register option
The credentials will be displayed on your screen
By using these credentials login yourself in.
Now enter the 5 types of details of yourself to apply for the scholarship
After entering all of the details, click on Apply For Scholarships Post Matric
Now the list of the scholarship will be displayed on your screen
Now you need to select the scholarship
The application form will be displayed on your screen
You need to upload all the required documents
Kindly click on the option called Submit
Your application will be submitted

How to check Application Status

The homepage will appear on your screen, on this homepage click on Track Your Application option.

You need to enter your Aadhar Number and Date of Birth.
After entering, click on the Track Application Option.
Your application Status will reflect on your screen.
