Karnataka Sc/St Student Overseas Scheme
The students of Schedule Caste (SC) and Schedule tribe (ST) community can shine their dream with Karnataka Prabuddha Scheme. Under this Yojana government of Karnataka are providing the chance to pursue their higher education in abroad. There is a reservation of 33% for women (SC/ST) candidates and 4% for the differently able persons of the community. Only No more than two students from one family can apply for the scholarship.
Karnataka Prabuddha Scheme
Under Karnataka Prabuddha Yojana up to 250 students for undergraduate courses and 150 students for postgraduate & doctorate courses will be selected. The Social Welfare Department will release the INR 120 crore for Karnataka Sc/St Student Overseas Scheme. Under the A student will be eligible to apply for the scheme only once, whether UG, PG or PhD.

Prabuddha Scheme Financial Support Cover
- Student whose annual family income is below Rs 8 lakh will get 100% coverage.
- Selected candidate whose annual family income is between Rs 8-15 lakh will get 50% coverage.
- The student whose annual family income is above Rs 15 lakh will get 33% coverage.
Apply For Karnataka Prabhuddha Education Scheme
Karnataka Schedule Caste (SC) & Schedule tribe (ST) community students who want to avail the benefits of Prabuddha Scheme will have to pass the following Examination according to their selected course such as Graduate Record Examinations (GRE), Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), Scholastic Aptitude/Assessment Test (SAT). Without qualifying these entrance exam no one will allow for Karnataka Sc/St Student Overseas Scheme. Students who wish to avail benefit under the Scheme will have to apply online and Applications will be open from 15th December 2018 at the official website.
