Gujarat Electricity Bill Waiver Scheme has announced by state government on dated 18th December 2018. Under the one settlement Electricity Bill Waiver Scheme defaulters of rural areas whose electricity bills are still pending may avail benefits of the scheme. The state government announced that Electricity Bill Waiver Scheme will cover farmers, commercial users, Domestic user, Poor families & middle class families of the rural areas and any other who were lost their electricity connection for electricity theft in the past years. Government will bear Rs 625 crore for giving the benefits of the scheme to 6.20 lakh electricity defaulters.settlement scheme for over 6 lakh people living in rural parts of the state.

The defaulters of electricity department have to pay Rs.500 in their regional electricity department for getting back a new connection.
