A marriage certificate is a legal document provided as per the law to the two people who are married. As per the order given by the Supreme Court for the welfare of the women marriage registration of marriage is compulsory. To make the procedure easy and hassle-free for the newly wedded couple government has started online registration procedure. Applicants can apply for the Delhi Marriage Registration Online Under The Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, The Special Marriage Act, 1954 (Under Section 13 and 16) , The Indian Christian Marriage Act and the Parsi Marriage & Divorce Act,1936.

Apply Online for Delhi Marriage Registration
- You have to go to the E-district Delhi website to apply
- if you are the new of this portal afterthen register yourself first
- for registration click “new user” option form the citizen corner
- Now enter the Aadhar card or voter ID card option
- Enter your card number and captcha on the screen
- Tick the checkbox after reading the message
- Now you need to enter the rest information as asked in the registration form to complete the registration process
- You will get user id along with password on your registered mobile number and email ID
Registered User
- Now you need to go “registered user login” option
- Enter the user id along with password and captcha appears on the screen
- Click “login” option and dashboard will appear on the screen
- You need to click “apply for services” option
- Go to the department of revenue and search “registration of marriage”
- Click “apply” option given in the column in front of the “registration of marriage”
- Now enter the details in the form such as date of marriage, location, bride and groom personal details etc.
- Now enter the details of witness (in case of special marriage act)
- Upload the necessary documents as listed above
- At last, submit the application form by click submit option.
- Remember to take a print out for the further procedure
Offline Apply For Delhi Marriage Registration
- To apply offline you need to go to the official website.
- To go the homepage and community section.
- Select marriage certificate and registration and a new page appears on the screen.
- Click for application form for registration of marriage under Hindu marriage act or click here for application form for registration of marriage under special marriage act.
- Download the application form and fill the details in it.
- Take the application form along with the documents of the office of the sub divisional magistrate.
- Your documents will be verified and a day is fixed and communicated to the parties for registration in case of the Hindu marriage act or in case of the special marriage act both parties are required to be present after submission of documents for issuance of public notice inviting objections in case no objection the registration will be done after 30 days.
