Delhi Free Bus Metro Travel Scheme has been introduced by the Delhi CM Mr. Arvind Kejriwal. Under the Delhi Free Bus Metro Travel Scheme State government will bear all the expenses. Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has Cleared to the Delhi government that instead of allowing ticket-free travel to women in its buses, DTC will issue special annual passes or gender based common mobility cards at free of charge to each women of the state. Soon Delhi Metro Corporation will also present their report on the Process of implementation Delhi Women Free Ride Scheme.

Objective of Delhi Women Free Ride Scheme
Before the one month of Delhi Assembly election Delhi state Government has announced Delhi Women Free Ride Scheme. The objective of the scheme is to provide better safe public transport to women of the state so they can easily go for studies, jobs, or other Purposes. Under the Women Free Ride Scheme DTC require an annual subsidy amount of about Rs200 crore to roll out the scheme in its buses and Rs100 crore that would be incurred on the cluster Buses.

At this time Women Free Ride Scheme is at their early stage and Delhi Government are discussing to DTC & Delhi Metro about how to implement the Scheme. DTC Provide the Proposal of making Annual Pass for Provide benefits of the Scheme and Till now Delhi Metro has not submit any proposal to implement the scheme in the Delhi Metro.
