UGC Paramarsh Scheme 2024 Details & Benefits | Deeksharambh Scheme

Paramarsh Scheme 2024 has been launched by Minister of Human Resource Development (HRD) Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal “Nishank” on 19th July 2019. The “Paramarsh” is a Hindi Language word which means “Consultation or advice “. Paramarsh is University Grant Commission Scheme. it is launched to maintain education Quality Standard in Country.  Under Paramarsh Scheme UGC has selected 71 Universities and 391 colleges which fulfill the standard of National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC). These Selected Institutes and University will provide mentorship to those colleges and university who don’t fulfill NAAC Standards.

UGC Paramarsh Scheme Details

These selected Institutes and University will recruit an expert as a mentor and paid a fellowship amount of Rs 31,000 per month. One Mentor College and institute will guide 5 Colleges. The mentor Colleges will provide guidance in curricular aspects, teaching-learning & evaluation, research, innovation, institutional values & practices etc. The expectation is that UGC will implement this scheme in phase wise manner because under Paramarsh Scheme University Grant Commission will target 1000 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

Objective of UGC Paramarsh Scheme

The Ministry of Human Resource Development wants to improve Quality of Education such as research; teaching and learning methodologies under those institutes who do not follow NAAC decided Standard. Central Government also wants provide quality education to the 3.6 crore students who are enrolling to Indian Higher Education system at present. To achieve this motive HRD has introduced Paramarsh Scheme. this scheme will definitely help in achieving Quality Education Standards.

Silent Features of UGC Paramarsh Scheme

  • One Mentor Institute will guide 5 Colleges.
  • Mentor institute will appoint one expert for providing better guidelines and mentorship
  • The fellowship to Mentor will be given by Mentee institutes.
  • It will lead to enhancement of overall quality of the mentee institutions and enhance its profile as a result of improved quality of research, teaching and learning methodologies.
  • Scheme will help the mentee institution in getting NAAC accreditation.
  • UGC Paramarsh Scheme would be operationalized through “Hub & Spoke” model.

Deeksharambh scheme

On 18th July 2019 Minister of Human Resource Development (HRD) Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal “Nishank” has launched a Guide (Booklet) which helps new students to adjust in new environment and atmosphere. When fresher students get admission in various UGC affiliated Universities and institutions then they have to leave their home, environment, environment, culture. Under the Deeksharambh scheme University Grant Commission will help them to adjust new community and atmosphere easily.

Steps to Implement Deeksharambh scheme

Before Starting of regular classes, the officers of the university and colleges will meet with the new admitted students to tell them about all the policies, procedures, practices, culture and values ​​of the institution. Students will be mentored under the Student Induction Programme, helping them develop an everlasting bonding with their teachers. After all these efforts the students will be able to adjust themselves in the new environment of the university campus.
