Online application forms are invited by the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, central Government of India for the SC OBC Coaching Scheme 2023. It is another initiative taken by the central government to support the financial weaker section and provide them quality education. Government of India wants to support SCs and OBCs in education . This will be enable them to appear in competitive exams and success in the public sector . SC OBC Coaching Scheme
SC OBC Coaching Scheme is a scheme of the central government under which the students belong to SC/ OBC category will get free coaching. The government will provide financial assistance to the students. For the 2023, slots available for free coaching are 2000. Only 2000 candidates will be provided assistance in each of the two phases in the year. 800 slots for competitive exams having eligibility condition as Class XII (e.g. NEET, JEE, CLAT etc.) and the remaining 1200 slots for competitive exams having eligibility condition as Graduation (CAT, Civil Services Examination etc.). Online application portal will open for one month twice a year.

Objective SC OBC Coaching Scheme
- The major objective is to provide good quality coaching to attempt various competitive examinations and/or succeed in obtaining an appropriate job in Public/ Private Sector.
Assistance
- Coaching fee- actual or prescribed whichever is less
- Stipend- Rs. 6000 and 3000 per month to Outstation and Local Students
- Special Allowance- Rs. 2000 per month for disable students
SC OBC Coaching Scheme 2024 Eligibility criteria
- Applicant must belong to SC/ OBC Category
- Family income of applicant’s family should not more than 8 lakh per annum
- Applicant must pass 12th standard or graduation examination
