- The PAN Card is one of the most important document for each & every individual. This card can be applied by Indian citizens as well as by foreign citizens. Some of the importance & use of PAN Card are –
- At the time of opening of a bank account – At the time of opening a bank account, the individual should have a PAN Card. Without PAN Card, no bank whether its public or private allows you to open a bank account without PAN Card.

Procedure to Apply for PAN Card Update Online
You can apply for PAN Card both Online as well as offline.
ONLINE
- Firstly, you have to visit the Official Website of NDL or UTIITSL’s.
- Then on home page, you have to click on ‘PAN registration form’.
- Fill all the required details on the form and submit your required documents along with passport size photograph.
- Then make the payment of application fees through net banking, UPI etc.
- You have successfully applied for PAN Card.
Procedure to Apply for PAN Card Update Offline
OFFLINE
- You have to visit your nearby PAN Centre.
- There you have to fill the form to apply for PAN Card.
- Fill all the required details on the form and submit your required documents along with passport size photograph.
- Pay the application fees.
- You have successfully applied for PAN Card and within 15 days the card will be delivered to your registered address.
Update your PAN Card Online
- Visit the Official Website of NSDL E – Governance.
- Then on home page , click on “PAN” form Service Section.
- Now, click on ‘Apply’ under the Change/Correction in PAN Card section.
- Now, from the application type drop down menu, click on ‘changes or correction in existing PAN data/ Reprint of PAN Card’.
- If the PAN is registered on your name, then click on ‘Individual’ option.
- A new page will appear, fill the required information on that page such as name, Email ID, mobile number. Fill the captcha code.
- Click on ‘Submit’ option.
- Your request has been registered and a token number will be sent to your registered Email ID.
- Now, 3 options will be seen on your screen.
- Select ‘Submit scanned images by e – sign on NSDL e – gov’.
- Now fill the required information such as aadhar number, father & mother name. Click on ‘Next’ option.
- A new page will appear, change your address here.
- Then submit the required documents & sign the declaration and click on ‘Submit’ option.
- Now, you are redirected to the payment page. Make the payment through your desirable payment mode.
- A receipt will be generated. Download and take a print out of that receipt.
- Now, a physical verification of documents will take place.
PAN Card correction Update Offline
- You have to download the request for new PAN Card or update in PAN Card in PAN Card Data Form.
- Fill all the required details and attach all the required documents.
- Submit that form in NSDL Center.
- Pay your fees for the correction.
- Then you will receive a 15 digit acknowledgement number that you can use to check the status of your PAN Card.
How to Apply for a Pan Card Name Change
- Firstly go to the pan utiitsl.com/PAN/mainform.
- On the left hand side of these screen click on for change correction in PAN card click here.
- Now click on apply for change correction in PAN Card details (CSF)
- This will take you to a page allowed to enter details you would like to change.
- Upload the documents as required in the form and click on submit.
- Your change will then be reflected in a few days.
