DHRUV Scheme 2019 is a 14 days learning programme initiated by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Headquarters at Bengaluru. Under this scheme, 60 students will be selected 30 each from Science and Performing Arts discipline for the 14 days learning program. The program will have a valedictory ceremony on October 23, 2019. Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ the Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister has launched DHRUV in the presence of Dr K Sivan, Chairman, ISRO; Wing Cdr. Rakesh Sharma, AC (Retd.) the first Indian to enter the space; Rina Ray, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, Professor K Vijay Raghavan, Principal Scientific Advisor to Government of India and Senior officials of the Ministry, Department of Science &Technology, Ministry of Culture and Niti Aayog. Talented students in the areas from singing and dancing to mathematics and physics will be the part of first batch of this innovative scheme.

Prime Minister Employment Generation Program
Selection of the students for DHRUV Scheme 2019
Selection of the students will be made on the basis of their performance in the National Talent Search Examinations, competitions etc. Ministry will conduct sessions for the selected students to get these children mentored in their chosen fields.
Why this program?
This Pradhan Mantri Innovative Learning Programme has been started to identify talented students and motivate them to enrich their skills & knowledge in their respective fields. The main aim of this program is to encourage the talented students thus they will both shine through their achievements and light a path for others to follow. By this programme students will be mentored and nurtured by the experts in different areas to enhance their full potential.
