YSR Cheyutha Scheme is a promise of the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Government. This is a social security scheme which is providing financial support to the deprived sections of society. The Scheme will provide a total of Rs75000 in 4 equal instalments in four years. Under this scheming woman of SC, ST, BC or minority community will be considered as a beneficiary. Every year State Government will provide Rs 19000 to each beneficiary. The Financial aid will be transferred through direct bank transferred methods. The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh has launched the scheme through video conferencing from chief minister’s camp office that is situated in Tadepalli in Amaravati. The major objective of running this scheme is women empowerment. Under this scheme, the government is going to distribute 75000 rupees to the eligible women applicants in four equal instalments in 4 years. The first instalment of the scheme of Rs. 18750 has transferred into the bank accounts of 23 lakh beneficiaries.

Implementation of AP YSR Cheyutha Scheme

YSR Cheyutha Scheme was launched and implementation has been started from Wednesday 12th August 2020. In concern to this on 3rd August 2020 AP Government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with three companies named HindustanUnilever Ltd (HUL), ITC and Procter and Gamble (P&G) in presence of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. HUL Chairman and Managing Director Sanjiv Mehta, ITCExecutive Director Sanjiv Puri and P&G India CEO MadhusudanGopalan also take participation in the same through video conferencing. Tomore than 25 lakh women of the state these companies are going to provide marketing opportunities and technological support. State govt. is going to spend Rs 4,500 crore for this purpose.

Budget For YSR Cheyutha Scheme

On 16th June 2020 state government has announced state budget for the coming financial year during the Assembly at Velagapudi in which Finance Minister B Rajendranath Reddy presented the State budget of Rs 2,24,789.18 crore for the twenty-one welfare schemes running in the state. Out of which for this scheme the government of Andhra Pradesh state has sanctioned a budget of Rs. 17000 crores.
