YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme has been introduced by the New Elected Government Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. On 30th May 2019 YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced to hike to pension amount from Rs 1000 to Rs 3000. YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme will be 100 % Government funded. The scheme will come in force from June 2019. Under the Andhra Pradesh, Old Age Pension scheme beneficiary will get the Pension benefits on a monthly basis.
AP CM YSR Kanuka Scheme
AP CM YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme is a pre polled promise. After taking the oath as Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy Sanction order for the implantation of New Old Age Pension Scheme with immediate effect. Now the entire existing and new beneficiary will get Rs 3000 per month instead of Rs 1000. In the first year of including beneficiary under the YSR Pension scheme, the Pension amount will be Rs 2250 after that it will increase on a yearly basis for each beneficiary.

To Make senior citizen self-dependent in the old age and provide them with a better option of Livelihood Andhra Pradesh Newly elected government has announced Old age pension Scheme. This scheme will definitely decrease the poverty level of the state.
YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme 2022
AP CM YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme is a part of “Navarathnalu” which comprising for various welfare and developmental programmes. As pre polled promise made by the Andhra Pradesh State Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy the pension amount will increase along with the reduction in the age criteria for the old-age pension. It is a major welfare measure to ameliorate the hardships of the poor and vulnerable sections of society. Under the Pension Kanuka scheme there are 12 types of pensions covered named as under:

Details of Financial Amount in Pension Kanuka
The enhancement in the amount of pension for old Age Persons, widow, Toddy Tappers, weavers, Single women, Fishermen, ART (PLHIV) Persons, Traditional Cobblers to Rs.2250/- per month, Disabled persons, Transgender and Dappu Artists to Rs. 3,000/- per month, and also for people affected with Chronic Kidney Disease who are undergoing Dialysis both Government and network hospitals to Rs. 10,000/- per month.
Eligibility Criteria of the Scheme
- The Applicant must belong to BPL Family
- Applicant must have BPL ration card
- Applicant must be a resident of AP
- The Applicant must not cover under any other pension scheme
- Age of the applicants are as mentioned below:

Procedure to check YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme Status
- Open the official website first to check the pension status
- from the home page of the website go to the search option
- now choose the “Pension ID” or “GR grievance ID” Option and enter the asked details
- Click Go option and your pension status will appear on the computer screen.

- The application form will start downloading as you click the option
- Thereafter PDF will appear on the screen and take a print out of the form

- Attach the documents as listed above and must review the details in the form.
