Eligibility Criteria Of AP Rice Card
To be eligible for the Rice card scheme, the residents must follow the following eligibility criteria mentioned below:-
- The applicant must have an annual family income of less than-
- Rs. 10,000/- per month in rural areas
- Rs. 12,000/- per month in urban areas
- Total land holding of the family should be less than-
- 3 acres of wetland OR
- 10 acres of dry land OR
- 10 acres of both wet and dry land together
- Less than 750 sqft is built-up in an urban area.
- The monthly electricity consumption of the applicant must be below 300 units.
- No family member of the applicant must be a Government employee or pensioner.
- The family of the applicant must not own 4 wheelers.
- No family member of the applicant must be paying income tax.
AP Rice Card Application Process
As mentioned above, the application for the rice card scheme was done through the implementation of the YSR Navasakam scheme. The following steps were taken into consideration for the YSR Navasakam scheme:-
- First, door to door verification was done for existing ration cardholders.
- A 6-step social audit has been conducted to look into these factors-
- Own a car
- Whether their electricity consumption is above 300 units
- Whether they own more than 10 acres of land, etc.
