About Ration Card

Benefits of Ration Card During COVID-19 Crisis
Due to the implementation of coronavirus lockdown no one is allowed to step out of their house and the government is taking every possible step to break the chain of virus. Due to this reason the Andhra Pradesh Government have decided to give free ration and along with the free ration 1 kg toor dal will also be given to the ration card holders through home delivery. The Government of Andhra Pradesh have also decided to give Rs 1000 directly into the bank account of ration card holders.
Replacing AP Ration Card with Rice Card
From 14 February 2022 the Government of Andhra Pradesh have decided to replace old ration card with new rice cards. Under this the government is going to replace around 1,29,00,000 ration cards. Around 18 lakh beneficiary were found doubtful as reported by department of Consumer affairs Food and civil supplies Andhra Pradesh Public distribution system. The identification process of beneficiary will be done by the volunteers through door to door process.

AP New Ration Card Eligibility
- Applicants total family income should be less than 10000 per month in rural area than 12000 per month in urban areas.
- The land holding of the family should be less than 3 acres of wetland or 10 acres of dry land or 10 acres of both wet and dry land together.
- In urban areas the family is entitled to hold no property or 7500 square feet build up area.
- The applicant’s family member should not be eligible to pay income tax.
- The family should not have any four wheeler.
- Tax,i auto, tractor are exempted from four wheeler category.
- Applicants no family member should be a government employee or pensioner only the sanitary workers are exempted from this category
- Applicant’s monthly electricity consumption should be less than 300 units.
